Healing Families and Communities
We uplift and support youth who have experienced violence and trauma. We provide the tools and social connections they need for healthy youth development. Our services are tailored for youth between the ages of 13 and 17, though we serve parents as part of our holistic approach.
How We Do It
The youth we serve are vibrant, full of energy, brilliant with so much promise; however, have limited opportunity and the necessary resources that promote healthy social and emotional development. Visionary Youth works with youth to build “connections”, encourage overall wellbeing, and facilitate healthy coping mechanisms.
We understand the risks youth who have suffered violent trauma face: delinquency, gangs, drugs, teen pregnancy, homelessness, and despair. Visionary Youth bolsters Angeleno youth’s by supporting a healthy sense of self, increased resiliency, and an overall aptitude in increased emotional intelligence to mitigate environmental risk factors to ensure healthy development for all youth.

Our Vision
Our vision is a Los Angeles with widely available spaces where youth feel free from harm; where Angeleno youth have abundant resources for healthy development, including support from one another. We envision youth developing transformative resilience and self-possession through mentors, programming, and a support network that meets the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of a developing mind.
These youth have access to arts, dance, music, sports, counseling, community development skills, psycho-educational groups, college planning, access to tutors, mentors, as well as academic, and career counselors.
Our vision is attainable, and we can realize it together.
Our Partners
Partnership and collaboration are very important to the prosperity of communities. Visionary Youth has 12 sponsors that have cultivated trust, enrichment and provided perspective to Visionary Youth. We would like to thank them for their hard work, resilience, and commitment to equity.
